Course Description:

Photography is all about light and shadow, people and places, capturing a moment, and telling a story. History and fiction are no different, and we will explore the intersection of the three genres in the course of this class.

Students will each choose a historical photograph on which to base their research for this course. Following the completion of the research paper, students will craft a creative piece exploring the image further.

The research and creative writing skills used throughout the course will help prepare students for both AP History and AP Literature courses.
