Ana Robles

Director of Client Services & Academic Tutor

I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I earned a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University, and I love teaching and working with children.

I have worked with children of all ages. I have extensive experience tutoring students in elementary school and middle school. I, especially, like to teach grade school math because I feel that students need to build a strong base in math to succeed in future math classes. Some of my favorite topics to tutor include fractions and algebraic expressions. I try to make topics fun and easy to understand. Most recently, I have worked with students with special needs. Also, I am a fluent Spanish speaker. Learning a new language can be very intimidating for students. When teaching Spanish, I try to relate my teaching to current events so that my students can gain an interest for learning the language.

Working with students has allowed me to appreciate the variety of learning styles. I love the flexibility that working 1-on-1 offers because I can teach according to each student’s needs. I hope that I can help students gain not only mastery of the subject but also gain confidence in their abilities.

During my free time I enjoy cooking, going to the park, and spending time with my family.
