Biography

I have always been driven by curiosity. From a young age, I was captivated by the natural world. I could often be found sketching landscapes, caring for animals, or asking endless questions about how things worked. That love of discovery eventually led me to Stanford University, where I earned a B.S. in Biology with a pre-veterinary focus and a minor in Classics. Studying both the sciences and the humanities taught me to think critically, recognize patterns, and draw meaningful connections between fields that might at first seem unrelated.

My teaching journey began during a gap year in Italy, where I helped high school students become proficient in English. I quickly discovered how rewarding it is to help students find joy in their studies and build confidence in themselves. During my undergrad, I continued tutoring in the Palo Alto area. I focused on making complex ideas approachable and engaging so students could achieve genuine understanding rather than rely on memorization. I also creatively tailor each of my lessons to the student’s learning style, interests, and goals. Whether I’m teaching math or Spanish (I grew up bilingual!), my favorite moments are when students develop an appreciation—sometimes even a passion—for subjects they once found challenging.

Outside of teaching, I work as a veterinary assistant at a local shelter and aspire to become a veterinarian. I also love to dance! I’ve trained in a variety of styles, from hip hop to ballroom and ballet. When I’m not in scrubs or a leotard, you’ll likely find me traveling. Across all my pursuits, I find the greatest fulfillment in helping others grow, gain confidence, and discover new passions.
