Biography

Physics is a language that we humans have developed to understand nature, just like we developed mathematics to be the language to understand physics. I want to invoke curiosity in this new generation, encouraging them to explore and appreciate this profound way of understanding the universe. Through my work as a tutor, I hope to recruit more students into the STEM field by showing them how exciting, creative, and empowering these subjects can be.

Prior to my work at AJ, I served as a graduate teaching assistant at San Francisco State University, where I led physics lab sessions and supported students through hands-on experiments and conceptual discussions. This experience taught me how to adapt my explanations to different learning styles and create a welcoming environment for academic growth. I specialize in tutoring physics and calculus because I enjoy how these subjects reveal the logic and beauty behind the physical world. Whether I’m helping a student visualize force vectors or understand the rate of change in a function, I aim to make the material approachable, intuitive, and relevant.

My tutoring approach is personalized, goal-driven, and based on asking questions especially when stuck. I encourage students to verbalize their thinking, explore different strategies, and reflect on what they’re learning. I use visual tools, analogies, and step- by-step problem solving to meet students where they are and help them build lasting confidence.

Alongside tutoring, I conduct research as part of the GRAND (Giant Radio Array for Neutrino Detection) collaboration. My work focuses on using machine learning and simulation-based inference to improve the reconstruction of cosmic ray properties. This research combines physics, data science, and computational modeling skills.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy astronomy nights, hiking, cooking and I also like to play video games. My favorite game is Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2).

Happy Parents and Students

""I knew very little before coming to tutoring with physics. My tutor covered so much material with me and restructured the way I approach both FRQs and MCQs in such a short timeframe.""
