Your parent will speak with one of our directors about your strengths and challenges as a math student.
We’ll connect you with a professional, experienced math tutor who will meet with you for weekly support.
We’ll touch base with your family after the first few sessions to see how things are going and pass along notes from your tutor.
Our math tutors know that mindset is critical to success in a challenging math class. All too often, students come to us discouraged, unwilling to believe in their own ability to master geometric proofs, understand the unit circle, or even perform a simple percent calculation.
It doesn’t have to be this way! As we’ve learned from years of tutoring math in the Bay Area, students can learn to master (and even love) math, all the way from pre-algebra to AP Calculus.
Your tutor will first address any content gaps, building foundational math knowledge throughout the tutoring session.
We’ll make sure that you’re fully prepared for upcoming tests by teaching in a way that you understand – whether that’s talking through word problems, sketching geometric figures on the whiteboard, or writing out step-by-step instructions.
Drawing on our deep knowledge of the local schools, we’ll anticipate upcoming topics in your class and pre-teach them so you’re always prepared.
Success in math class isn’t just about knowing how to do the homework problems. Many students struggle with organization, submitting assignments on time, taking adequate notes in class, and learning how and when to study for a math test.
Our math tutors integrate these study skills into regular weekly tutoring sessions. While we’re helping you master arithmetic or integrals, we’re also teaching you how to get organized and study for tests in a way that works for you, both now and in your future academic career.
