Biography

I moved to the Bay Area in 2015 and have called it home ever since. From a young age, I enjoyed not only STEM courses, but also learning as a whole. At Boston University, I majored in neuroscience and minored in public health and psychology while completing the pre-medical curriculum.

As someone who struggled with the difficulty of pre-medical courses, I truly did not find my ideal study style until college. This experience ultimately led me to explore ways to help other students discover which academic approaches work best for them. I developed a passion for teaching by serving as a lecture and lab learning/teaching assistant, a student-athlete tutor, and an ESL tutor.

At AJ Tutoring, I enjoy helping K-8 students develop essential math, reading, and writing skills. At the same time, I encourage students to form effective study habits and strategies that will guide them toward success. I also love teaching biology, working with students from middle school science through AP Biology. Helping students of all ages gain confidence in their own abilities is my greatest motivation!

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy baking, traveling, crafting, journaling, and trying new coffee shops to feed my caffeine addiction.
