Computer Science – A Python Workshop

Computer Science is a booming field that has created the computers, smartphones, and tablets we use every day! AJ Tutoring can help you learn to think like a programmer and begin to write your own programs.

Course Description:

This 1-on-1 class teaches students how to use computer science to solve problems from a variety of fields. The class is designed to help students understand the “how” and “why” of computer programming by working with Python—an easily readable, user-friendly programming language.

Students will learn the structure and syntax of the language and how to work with the interface by turning logical reasoning into written code. Then various problems will be presented, and students will be coached through applying Python programming to create simple, effective codes to solve them. Special attention will be paid to the problem-solving process and how to debug, or fix, incorrect code. The problems students will work on stem from mathematics, encryption, data storage, image creation and manipulation, and other topics.
