Alexander Chang-Davidson

Biography

I grew up in Palo Alto and went to Gunn High School, where, as a senior, I had the opportunity to become a teaching assistant for my AP Computer Science A teacher. In college, I wanted to continue helping other students and applied to be a TA as soon as I could. I graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Computer Science and a burning desire to teach! I am so excited to have that opportunity as part of my everyday job. 

Curiosity is a big part of who I am, and I’ve always been fascinated with understanding the world we live in and how things work. This desire for deeper understanding led me to study the physics of our natural world, as well as the fundamental science and technology of the internet and the digital devices that we all rely on.

My approach to tutoring involves listening to my students to learn what motivates them and drives their curiosity. Then I strive to encourage that curiosity and sense of wonder, while helping them understand their world and how they fit into it.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing pickleball at my local park, singing in choir, and biking around town or to work.
