Charles Taussig

Biography

From a young age I’ve had a passion for gaining and sharing knowledge. You’d rarely have found me unable to share a fun fact or two. That love for learning followed me to college where I attended UC Berkeley for five years in their Materials Engineering department; Helping other students keep up with their schoolwork while studying a wide breadth of physical sciences and mathematics to apply to the most fundamental problems of construction and design.

I spent several years in the field as a practicing engineer, working on quality control and systems design for aeronautic vehicles, but I never lost that passion for helping others learn. I kept reading books and dedicating myself to expanding my knowledge. I reached out to AJ tutoring to offer services as a mathematics tutor because I believe in their philosophy of high quality individualized education.

Mathematics has always held a special place in my heart. The idea that a few fundamental rules can give rise to a vast ecosystem of interaction is inherently appealing. I hope to share with others my passion for mathematics with other learners and help them deal with the sometimes frustrating transition to higher level fields. I hope to teach with compassion and understanding.

In my free time I am a voracious reader, I have a particular fondness for fantasy books with intricate worldbuilding. I also love logic puzzles and sudoku variants.
