Christina Ha

Biography

After earning my B.S. in biological sciences at Stanford, I followed my passion for science by doing cancer signaling and oncology research for Genentech while tutoring students in AP chemistry, AP biology, AP calculus, pre-calculus, and the SAT. Realizing the immense rewards of teaching, I decided to tutor full-time with AJ Tutoring in 2008. I have since furthered my standardized test teaching experience by teaching GMAT and GRE courses for post-graduate students after scoring in the 99th percentile overall on the GMAT and the 99th and 98th percentiles (Verbal and Math) on the GRE.

My students succeed because I communicate my passion for science and test-taking and explain abstruse concepts clearly. I understand that some students need warmth and positive spirit, while others need to be pushed. I sympathize with students and work well with students of all ability levels.  I have supported our team of tutors as our Academic Director and team leader, and I continue to enjoy mentoring a group of extraordinary academic tutors.

In my spare time, I’m a crossword puzzle fiend, board-gaming enthusiast, and rock-climbing zealot.
