When I was a kid growing up in sunny SoCal, I loved books about natural history just as much as I loved a good story, which is why I went on to study both Literature and Biology.

I have now been tutoring and teaching a variety of subjects for almost a decade, first in Brooklyn, then in Los Angeles, and now in the Bay Area. My favorite part of my work is collaborating with my students, building confidence and breaking down impossible-seeming topics until things finally “click”. I have always especially enjoyed working with the big picture, helping build lifelong study skills, and strategizing on how to make career goals a reality, which is why I eventually expanded my teaching practice to include college application support.

As one of AJ’s college counselors, I help families break down the overwhelming admissions landscape into manageable steps. It’s my goal to help my students feel empowered to put their best foot forward in every step of their application process: from their SAT and ACT performance all the way through the final polishing of personal statements. With the right support, I believe anyone can achieve the grades, test scores, and study habits that lead to academic confidence and open doors to higher education and personal success.

When I’m not working with students, I’m an avid naturalist and painter. I love hiking, swimming, and thought-provoking sci-fi novels.
