Biography

I grew up in San Jose and completed a bachelor’s degree in physics at UCLA. One of the most important lessons I took from my college education is that everyone learns differently. Difficult material often needs to be tackled using multiple approaches until it finally connects with the student. That insight has led me to encourage my students to focus more on patience and a thorough understanding of the material, rather than relying on quick memorization that doesn’t stick with them.

Physics and math are subjects that I struggled with myself, but over time, that struggle became part of the reason I enjoyed them so much. To me, each problem is a puzzle waiting to be solved.

That is why teaching physics and math excites me: I get to help students with the same difficulties that I faced and guide them through those challenges. My goal is for students to be comfortable with the struggle that comes with the learning process, so that they can build the confidence and persistence to solve complex problems independently.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy watching movies, playing board games, and cooking with my family.
