Biography

I moved to the Bay Area in 2015 and have called it home ever since. From a young age, I enjoyed not only STEM courses, but also learning as a whole. I recently graduated from Boston University, where I majored in neuroscience and minored in public health and psychology while completing the pre-medical curriculum. As someone who experienced a “culture shock” with the difficulty of pre-medical courses, I truly did not find my ideal study style until college. These experiences ultimately led me to find ways to help other students discover what works best for them. I developed a passion for teaching by serving as a lecture and lab learning/teaching assistant, a student-athlete tutor, and an ESL tutor. Outside of academics, I’ve cared for patients of all age groups in my clinical roles at Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. I’m currently taking some gap years before hopefully taking the next steps in my medical career.

At AJ Tutoring, I help K-8 students develop essential math, reading, and writing skills. Moreover, I help students form better study habits and strategies to guide them toward success. I’m also a biology tutor, assisting students taking anywhere from middle school science up to AP Biology. Helping students of all ages gain confidence in their own abilities is one of my greatest motivations!

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy baking, traveling, crafting/journaling, and trying new coffee shops to feed my caffeine addiction.
