Biography

I have loved school for as long as I can remember, to the point that my parents had to force me to stay home when I was sick. I attended boarding school at Choate Rosemary Hall, where I loved that learning spilled over into all hours of the day through extracurriculars like debate and student government. For college, I went to Northwestern University, graduating with a BA in Economics and an MS in Energy and Sustainability.

I first started tutoring in high school as a peer tutor and a volunteer mentor for middle-schoolers wanting to boost their study habits. I also enjoyed tutoring student-athletes at Northwestern in Economics, Statistics, and Latin. My approach in working with students is to help them improve confidence in their abilities by reviewing concepts and practice problems, particularly those that challenge them.

The best part about tutoring for me is connecting with students one-on-one and seeing them flourish as they tackle difficult concepts. I also help students develop strong study habits by supporting them in building their own unique organizational and time management systems.

In my free time, I enjoy knitting, playing ultimate frisbee, and exploring nature in the Bay Area. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Sydney, Australia, for two years.

Happy Parents and Students

""My tutor was really passionate about math, and that makes it so much more enjoyable to learn. They also used a variety of teaching methods and concepts for each problem, which gives me the opportunity to experiment with techniques in math.""
