Biography

I earned my degree in Molecular Biology and Global Health from UC San Diego. During my studies, I discovered that mastering challenging STEM courses took more than just reading the textbook, it required active learning and effective study strategies. I apply these same principles to tutoring, drawing heavily on my experience as a lifelong competitive badminton player and assistant coach. The patience required to break down physical mechanics on the court translates seamlessly to academic mentoring. I am drawn to AJ’s tailored, 1-on-1 approach to help students conquer complex subjects, discover the joy of learning, and build real confidence.

While I actively work toward a future career in sports medicine, I also believe in maintaining a healthy balance. Outside of the clinic and the classroom, I stay active through weightlifting, running, and hitting the badminton court.

To truly unwind, I love spending time in the kitchen recreating traditional dishes my late grandmother used to make. I am also a big fan of electronic music and attend many concerts. I have also recently gotten into photography, a passion born from trying to live in the moment.
