Biography

I’ve always loved the moment when a difficult idea finally “clicks,” and tutoring lets me help students reach that point in a supportive, one-on-one environment. I’m drawn to education because I enjoy breaking big tasks into manageable steps and helping students feel confident in their abilities.

I studied journalism at the University of Southern California, where I discovered just how powerful thoughtful communication can be. Working in journalism highlighted how writing and critical thinking shape how we communicate, understand the world, and navigate daily life. Thus, I’m especially drawn to teaching English because it gives students the opportunity to express themselves, analyze deeply, and make connections that go beyond the classroom. I love helping students turn a daunting essay or text into something approachable and meaningful.

My tutoring philosophy centers on meeting every student exactly where they are. I design every session with a student’s strengths and goals in mind, offering clear, step-by-step support and strategies they can rely on long after our meetings. Whether we’re working on close reading, outlining, or building study skills, my goal is always to help students feel prepared and proud of their progress.

Outside of tutoring, I love to bake, do the crossword, and read.
