Mallika Reddy

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I’ve always had a deep love for problem-solving, math, and medicine. At UC Berkeley, I explored the intersection of these interests while earning my degree in Computer Science and completing all my pre-med requirements, graduating with an almost perfect GPA. At Berkeley, I became involved in several computational medicine projects, where I saw how analytical thinking could drive real-world impact. I also scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT, showing me that strategy and mindset matter as much as skill when it comes to learning

Around the same time, I discovered my passion for mentorship and teaching through Computer Science Kickstart, a program dedicated to empowering young women in technology. Throughout college, I led and mentored over 100 students, teaching computer science fundamentals and supporting them as they built confidence in their technical abilities. Watching students grow, overcome challenges, and experience those “aha!” moments inspired me to pursue education more deeply.Since then, I’ve worked with the Oakland Education Fund and led a virtual tutoring program, helping students across math, science, test prep, and writing. My teaching philosophy centers on each student and their specific needs through adapting to different learning styles, building individualized strategies, and helping students organize their learning goals so they can reach their full potential.

In my free time, I love baking, reading psychological thrillers, watching movies, travelling, and going to concerts.
