Biography

Ever since I first took Physics in high school, I’ve been utterly fascinated by the subject and have since made it the focus of my study. While pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Physics at California State University Bakersfield, I worked as a mathematics and physics tutor for the university. I have spent hundreds of hours helping students navigate everything from foundational algebra to advanced Vector Calculus and Thermodynamics. This experience was more than just a job; it was where I discovered that teaching is my true calling.

During my time at CSUB, I learned to tailor my approach to a wide variety of learning styles. I love helping students succeed in subjects they might have previously disliked or thought were too difficult for them. My favorite part of tutoring is engaging with students on an individual level and witnessing that specific moment when a complex concept finally clicks for them.

Many students unfortunately don’t get a chance to enjoy the 1-on-1 style of learning that they deserve. Rather than teaching students to memorize formulas, I like to take the time to show them how to use critical thinking and logical reasoning to work their way through problems. When a student understands the underlying theory, they gain a level of confidence that carries over into other subjects.

When I’m not at the whiteboard I like to spend my time creating digital art which allows me to use my visual-spatial skills to express myself creatively. I also enjoy playing video games and watching movies with my cat.
