Thomas Smith

Biography

Since I started school, math and science have always been my strong suit, so I have always found myself helping those around me who are struggling. Because of this it felt natural to continue my path by helping the next generation of students along their own journeys. I grew up in the area, graduating from Sequoia High School, and I would go on to earn my BS in Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University. Throughout my own academic career, I saw how powerful simple things such as organization and consistent study can be, which has shown me how anyone can be academically successful with the right mindset, as well as support system.

Throughout my time earning my degree, I have seen my love for math and science that led me there grow even further, as it felt like the culmination of everything that I had been learning for practically my whole life, into something that is usable (like a hypothetical plane that could fly!).

Outside of school and work, I spend most of my time with music, I am an avid record collector and concert goer. I also play the electric bass and am currently in the process of learning guitar.
