Biography

Growing up in San Jose, my interest in mathematics and economics first started when I saw how these subjects can be applied to real-world problems. I graduated with a degree in economics, a field that strengthened my appreciation for problem-solving, thinking critically, and using numbers to make sense of complex situations.

Along the way, I gained experience in conducting research, working as a primary investigator to explore real-world economics issues. This work involved analyzing data, identifying patterns, and communicating my findings clearly. These skills helped me break down complex ideas and explain them effectively, culminating in my first teaching role as a teaching assistant in college.

That position sparked my passion for education, as I discovered how much I enjoy helping others work through challenging material and experience the excitement of learning something new. Teaching also gave me the chance to deepen my own understanding of a topic while guiding others. Through working with people who have different learning styles, I realized how important it is to adapt and meet each person where they are.

I strongly believe that individualized learning is key to academic success, and that anyone can succeed at a subject with resilience, curiosity, and a personalized approach.

Outside of academics, I enjoy hiking with my dog Simba, doing nails, exploring coffee shops, and leading strength training classes for women. I’m truly excited to support students as they grow academically, build confidence, and see just how rewarding learning can be!
