Social outreach

Everyone deserves access to great education, so we aim to expand our influence beyond the walls into our community at large. We strive to provide equal access to all students through our work with community groups that serve low-income students and first-generation college applicants.

January  2025 tutoring hours challenge

What is the Fund Drive?
For every hour of tutoring in January AJ will donate $1 to our Social Outreach Programs up to $16,000.  We will also be accepting donations from clients and colleagues up to $6000.

What will the money be used for?
Our Social Outreach budget allows us to partner with groups such as Peninsula Bridge, Boys and Girls and Club, and Breakthrough Collaborative to provide free or low-cost top-quality instruction to students in underserved communities

If you would like to donate you can do so here: Donation form

Future partnerships

“AJ Tutoring has tremendously supported our students to increase their SAT test scores over the past few years. Our students enjoy working with their AJ tutor and they receive outstanding services from the SAT experts!”

Josue Castellon, Foundation for a College Education

“AJ Tutoring has been so incredibly helpful and accommodating for our students. Many of our students rely heavily on this extra support in order to be able to succeed on standardized tests. AJ Tutoring has provided them with an incredible opportunity that they would not otherwise have, to prepare for this difficult and high stakes test.”

Van Anh Tran, Summit Public Schools: Rainier

“The strategies employed with my students yielded immediately beneficial results that made answering test questions more efficient and more accurate. The tutor was personable, professional, and prepared.”

Erik Migdail, Carlmont High School AVID Teacher
