Biography

As a passionate lifelong learner, I am thrilled to be working in education in my hometown of Los Altos. I am currently a part-time law student at Santa Clara University and hold an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Having attended Gunn High School, I know firsthand what it is like to be a student in this area, and I have maintained a strong connection to the local community throughout my life.

My interest in teaching began when I worked at an educational technology company that provided after-school tutoring through a mobile app. Watching students challenge themselves to improve their skills and grow in confidence showed me how meaningful education can be. This inspired me to manage a Mathnasium tutoring center in Foster City, where I worked closely with K–12 students every day. In that role, I gained hands-on experience supporting learners by demystifying math and making it fun, which confirmed for me that education was where I felt most fulfilled.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic led me toward other opportunities, I never lost that passion. During my time in business school and later as a corporate consultant, I often reflected on the impact that learning and mentorship had on my own growth. No matter the setting, I have always been drawn back to education.

Now, as an academic tutor at AJ Tutoring, I am excited to combine my background in business, consulting, and law with my love of teaching. Tutoring allows me to work one-on-one with students, break down difficult concepts into approachable steps, and celebrate their progress along the way. By building confidence in this way, I help students not only master the material but also develop lasting skills for long-term success.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active. You can usually find me biking, running, or hiking with my wife and our dog, Champ. In the winter, I love skiing and snowboarding in the Sierras.
