Biography

As a resident of San Jose who was primarily raised in Seattle, I hold a strong appreciation for life on the West Coast. I originate from a large and supportive family that has always emphasized the importance of educational achievement. This background fostered my interest in mathematics and science—disciplines I further pursued while attending Brown University. I majored in neuroscience with the aim of preparing for medical school and dedicating significant time to serving the community as a dual teaching assistant in introductory biology and neuroscience. In this capacity, I assisted professors in developing innovative approaches to enhance course delivery and increase student enthusiasm for practical experiments.

Subsequently, I continued tutoring throughout the Bay Area, which has continually reinforced my passion for teaching as I witnessed students understand complex concepts. My preferred aspect of this role is the opportunity to enrich the educational experience by linking classroom content to research I conducted at Massachusetts General Hospital, thereby illustrating the relevance of academic principles and inspiring students to pursue deeper inquiry and engagement within STEM disciplines.

I opted to join AJ Tutoring due to the organization’s commitment to high-quality services and its dedication to fostering lifelong learning. The significance of this work lies in transforming education for students, observing their confidence flourish, and promoting curiosity. Through personalized guidance, I aim to help students acquire a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter while also developing skills that will serve them academically.

Outside of my time at the Saratoga and Highway 9 offices, I’m the biggest Seattle Seahawks, Golden State Warriors, and Arsenal F.C. fan you’ll ever meet, and don’t even get me started on my love for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
