Course Description:

Students will analyze and discuss the thoughts and plays of authors including Sophocles, Aristotle and Shakespeare. They’ll engage with various understandings of what tragedy has meant to mankind, and examine what it means to them. Each student will then formulate a thesis and write an essay on the essence of tragedy and how it affects us.
