Course Description:

The main goal of this course is to think critically through various texts from Plato to Pascal. The student will work on their close reading and argumentative writing skills while analyzing their own view on key philosophical issues. We will read foundational works in the areas of metaphysics, epistemology, logic, and axiology, with the added choice of political philosophy, and students will craft at least one paper on a topic of interest from the class.

In the end, the student should be left with an analytical and inquisitive mindset that allows them to succeed in subjects beyond philosophy.
