Course Description:

This course will teach students to analyze data gathered during a lab and to write an effective lab report. During the class, students will conduct labs exploring a variety of mechanics topics and write a lab report for each. They will learn the typical components of a lab report, including purpose, hypothesis, procedure, results, conclusion, and error analysis, and they will explore Google Sheets as a tool for storing and manipulating data, including creating graphs, determining lines of best fit, etc. Students will develop their comfort and experience with lab reports, gain an introduction to core physics concepts, and prepare for the demands of their upcoming class.
