Biography

I was born and raised in the South Bay, where education played a central role in my life as a first-generation Asian American. Education created opportunities my family didn’t have and helped me feel confident in my own capabilities, shaping both my identity and my commitment to learning.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, along with a minor in Education, at UC Davis. Throughout college, I spent a significant amount of time supporting students in various learning environments, including serving as a teaching assistant for 7th and 8th-grade English, a learning assistant for an introductory neurobiology course, providing peer advising (both academic and student support), and babysitting.

As a tutor and mentor, I aim to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring new ideas. I focus on helping students build confidence, discover learning strategies that work for them, and develop a genuine curiosity for the subjects they study. Every student is on their own journey, and I strive to help them grow at a pace that feels right for them.

When I’m not tutoring, I enjoy going to the gym, listening to lifestyle podcasts, and reading romance and mystery novels. I’m currently working on learning new languages, and I love exploring various neighborhoods across the Bay.

""I learned a lot of new tactics for the test taking as well as new content. I really liked the way my tutor presented the information and their level of understanding.""
