Lena Chao

Leaning on my 10+ years of experience in college counseling and admissions, I have assisted hundreds of students to receive acceptances to prestigious, top-ranked colleges and universities. I help students build their application narrative by encouraging different extracurricular activities and classes and seizing the right opportunities. My training as a school counselor has shaped my student-centered, reflective approach that promotes the process of self-discovery. I care deeply about students finding their authentic voice during this transformative process and identifying the colleges that will allow them to thrive. I have visited over 200 colleges and universities across the country—and some abroad—and cultivated strong relationships with admission offices.

In addition to my experience advising students, I have read thousands of college applications and have an accurate pulse of what makes a candidate stand out. I am an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the American School Counselor Association, and other local organizations. I have presented at conferences and volunteered my time to host free workshops for community organizations.
