Biography

I am a lifelong educator, competitor, and student, always looking to improve myself and help those around me on their own journeys.

Born in New Jersey, I was lucky enough to travel the world at a young age, and I spent a few years in England as a child, which kick-started my passion for the English language. I went on to study English and political science at Colorado College, where I learned how to thrive under pressure. I worked as a student mentor and learned just how fun and rewarding it is to help others achieve their academic goals.

I have experience working in copywriting and marketing with a specific emphasis in pharmaceuticals, which has kept me on my toes and reacquainted me with many principles relevant to STEM education. However, my passion for education led me back to tutoring.

Standardized testing has always been an area in which I’ve excelled. The mental game of eliminating answers, using resources hidden within each question to eke out an advantage over your peers, and the process of improving as a test taker are all things that I find really enjoyable! I enjoy helping demystify the SAT and ACT while teaching students how to leverage test taking strategies, and it is my goal to ensure that no student finishes their course still afraid of the SAT or ACT. I want students to move on with confidence and long-term skills that can help them well beyond these tests

Besides all that, I love playing, competing in, and making video games. I also enjoy volleyball, cycling, playing the piano, hiking, and writing novels.
