Biography

I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University and earned my B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Cruz. Science has always been a passion of mine, and I love sharing my enthusiasm by tutoring students in chemistry and biology, including honors and AP-level courses. I have over five years of tutoring and mentorship experience working with students from kindergarten through college in a variety of subjects, including English grammar, math, and science.

My teaching philosophy is to provide a positive and holistic approach to learning. Success isn’t just measured by how quickly a student grasps a concept, but by building strategies that encourage long-term understanding. In my sessions, I focus on helping students develop memory techniques, manage test anxiety, and strengthen critical thinking so they can apply their knowledge to more advanced challenges in both academic and industry settings. I create a learning environment characterized by encouragement, patience, and real-world connections that make difficult concepts approachable and fun.

What I enjoy most about tutoring is watching students grow more assured and curious about subjects they once felt overwhelmed by. My goal is for students to leave each session not only with stronger grades, but also with the confidence that they can tackle complex problems and thrive as independent learners.

Outside of tutoring and my graduate studies at Stanford, I enjoy baking desserts, exploring new cities, trying new restaurants, and spending time in nature.
