About AJ Tutoring: Personalized Bay Area Tutoring Rooted in Palo Alto
AJ Tutoring is a Bay Area tutoring company founded by lifelong local educators Aaron Andrikopoulos and Joe Niederman. Aaron and Joe both grew up in Palo Alto and attended local public schools. They have firsthand experience with the academic culture and expectations facing Bay Area students today.
For years, AJ Tutoring has supported thousands of students and families through personalized tutoring, SAT prep, academic tutoring, AP support, executive function coaching, and college counseling across the Bay Area.
Because our team works closely with students throughout Palo Alto, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Burlingame, San Mateo, Los Gatos, Orinda, and surrounding communities, we understand the demands local students face. From competitive high schools and challenging AP classes to standardized testing and college admissions pressure, we know the unique academic environment of Bay Area schools.
Unlike large national tutoring chains, AJ Tutoring was built specifically for Bay Area students. Our tutors are familiar with many local courses, school expectations, pacing, and academic standards, allowing us to provide highly relevant one-on-one tutoring tailored to each student’s needs.
Our approach is relationship-driven and highly personalized. We believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and challenged by exceptional educators who genuinely care about their growth. Every tutoring relationship is designed to help students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and reduce stress over time.
Today, AJ Tutoring provides:
- Academic tutoring for K–12 students
- SAT and ACT prep
- AP exam preparation
- College admissions counseling
- Executive function and study skills support
- In-person and online tutoring throughout the Bay Area
While AJ Tutoring has grown significantly over the years, our mission remains rooted in the communities where we started. We help Bay Area students thrive through thoughtful, personalized educational support.
