Corinne Keer

Test Prep and Academic Tutor

After graduating from Menlo-Atherton, I traveled cross-country to attend Boston University and pursue my passion for the written word. At BU, I immersed myself in engaging classes and fulfilling extracurricular activities. I wrote for a publication called the BU Quad, interned for a poetry organization named “The Favorite Poem Project”, and graduated with honors as an English major. Throughout my educational career, I was consistently impressed by the importance of conversations and 1-on-1 interactions for academic development. When I graduated, I knew that I wanted to commit myself to helping students achieve their potential in classes and on exams.

I have extensive experience working with students of all ages and abilities, both individually and in group settings. My work in the ed-tech space has convinced me that we are in a golden age of accessible education, and it is a great joy of mine to provide support to students with the proven methods and cutting-edge materials that we have crafted at AJ. My passion is working with students 1-on-1 and assisting them in growth, development, and improvement as life-long learners. I excel at adapting my sessions to the specifics of my students’ learning styles and tailoring my naturally enthusiastic personality to best serve their needs.

Having grown up here, I am acutely aware of the academic pressure that Bay Area students face, and I am conscious of the way those pressures can affect a student’s views on school and the test-taking process. One of my favorite hobbies is meditation, and in addition to helping students learn their academic material, I also love to impart test-taking strategies and relaxation tricks that can help students achieve their academic goals with less stress.

Outside of the office, I enjoy keeping up with the latest in pop culture and the arts, spending time with those I care about, and getting into nature. You’ll most likely find me in the woods somewhere, either reading or meditating!
