I developed my interest in teaching during middle and high school. I was always considered the “smart kid,” so when any of my peers needed help, they would come to me. Over time, I developed my skill at explaining topics, leading more of my classmates to come to me for help and guiding me towards roles as a tutor at Merced College and the University of California, Santa Cruz. 

I earned my B.S. in physics from UCSC, and my university studies cemented my love for physics and math. It’s always my hope that I can share my own passion for the subject with my students and help them find their own interests and goals.

When it comes to tutoring, my philosophy is centered around the idea that anyone can learn anything with enough time and effort. Tutoring offers a unique opportunity to learn one-on-one, allowing students the opportunity to ask questions they might be intimidated to ask in a classroom setting. It also allows me to connect with the learner, figure out how best to meet their academic needs, and adjust my approach to them.
