Course Description:

Learning a foreign language for an hour a day, five days a week is difficult enough; adding a two-month break to a student’s language acquisition is an even greater challenge. This Spanish tutoring course is designed to keep students thinking about their foreign language over the summer while also building on their grammar knowledge and conversation skills. Students will review and practice past grammar concepts and learn more sophisticated grammatical structures that they will see in their upcoming classes. We will then apply these structures in both formal and informal conversational settings to build their language production skills. By the end of the tutorials, students will be able to hold discussions in Spanish on a variety of topics and will feel more confident going into their Spanish class in the fall.
