Goals:
The former AP Physics B exam was split into the AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2 exams in 2014. AP Physics 1 covers mechanics, while AP Physics 2 covers fluids, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and modern physics. AJ Tutoring has stayed current on these changes and can help students understand what their particular class will cover next year. Though AP Physics C has not changed, it can be a challenging course, as it incorporates calculus into the physics curriculum and requires a mastery of both calculus and physics.
Our summer program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation from which to approach these college-level physics courses. In session, students will review the physics concepts relevant to their upcoming physics courses. We emphasize problem-solving and an understanding of how different physics concepts are connected. Students will apply these ideas to practice problems to solidify their understanding. AJ Tutoring will provide all material necessary.
Students who stay actively engaged in the learning process during the summer perform better during the school year.
