Course Description:

This course offers students an opportunity to take a deep dive into film — a topic that most students don’t have the opportunity to learn about until college. Students will learn about the history of film and television, and they will examine how important historical events and themes are portrayed in the media. Students will master key elements of film, such as plot structure, and they will develop their analytical skills through discussion and writing exercises in preparation for future humanities coursework.
