Hebrew for Beginners

Interested in learning a second (or third, or fourth) language? Learning Hebrew means you could learn a whole new alphabet! We’ll learn conversational skills, pronunciation, and the basics of reading and writing.

Goals:

Master basic vocabulary for conversational Hebrew including asking for directions, talking about the weather and ordering food.
Understand grammar including male/female nouns and past/present/future verb conjugations
Learn the Hebrew alphabet and develop fluency in reading and writing it

Course Description:

This course covers basic conversational Hebrew, including an emphasis on pronunciation and daily vocabulary such as asking for directions, ordering food, and discussing the weather. We will also explore the basic grammar required to create simple sentences as well as introduce male and female singular and plural nouns, conjugating verbs in past, present, and simple future tenses. Finally, the course will introduce students to the Hebrew alphabet for both reading (in print and cursive) and writing (in cursive).
