Course Description:

This class gives students a glimpse into the major functions and regulations of the human body, an understanding that is central to careers in medicine, allied health professions, and biomedical research. Analysis of the mechanical, physical, and biochemical function of humans will be presented. Students will gain an understanding of major organ systems from a cellular to macroscopic level.

Special emphasis will be placed on aspects of exercise physiology, and the current AP Biology exam (revised in 2013) now covers much more about human physiology.
