Course Description:

For many students, learning Mandarin Chinese feels like a daunting undertaking. This course aims to introduce students to the language in a way that is both approachable and engaging. during the course, students will explore the language and develop mastery over the basics in a fun and low-stakes environment. Students will learn and practice vocabulary and grammar concepts and develop conversational skills without relying too strongly on translation. We’ll introduce various media to expose students to the language and expand their retention. This is a highly student-centered course that can also be adapted to meet students’ goals with the language and future studies.
