Introduction to Art Composition

Course Description:

This 1-on-1 course teaches students the fundamentals of art theory, color and design. Topics covered will include the functionality of various elements of art composition in general such as negative and positive space, color, and more.

This class is designed to help students begin or continue their art education, including preparation for an AP or college-level art courses. The material covered in this course will provide a strong foundational knowledge of art composition that can be applied to almost any medium.

Prior artistic experience is not required to take this class, and this course is easily adaptable to all ages and levels of experience! Students will be coached through the learning process with many opportunities for participation and interaction. Drawing and design exercises and brief homework assignments will be provided to help students apply concepts presented in sessions.
