Course Description:

We all know that the way we speak in the Bay Area is different from how they speak in New Orleans, or Boston, and definitely from how they speak in Scotland or New Zealand. Well, the regional differences in Spanish are just as big!

Would you like to speak Spanish like a Norteño from Mexico? Or learn the Lunfardo of Buenos Aires? What about the difference between the Colombian sing-song accents of Medellín against the flat accents of Bogotá? The bouncy linguistic forms of the Caribbean which never finish saying one word before we’re onto the next two? Or, el clásico: Madrid versus Barcelona.

It’s a lot of fun comparing apples to mangoes here, and an excellent way to dramatically and effortlessly increase our comprehension of spoken Spanish, as the native speakers use it…and begin to use it that way too!
