Anh Huynh

Academic Tutor

I completed my bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the University of Washington in Seattle. It was my academic journey at the UW, where I went from earning average grades to being in the top 4% of my classes, that inspired me to become a tutor. I am passionate about helping students like myself find confidence in their academic abilities.

Studying can be extremely stressful and discouraging, especially when we cannot identify the problem. As a tutor, it is my goal to help provide the necessary tools that will allow my students to self-diagnose their knowledge gaps. I also develop a personalized study plan that will best accommodate their individual learning styles and allow them to learn effectively regardless of the difficulty level of the content. Through a focus on building a strong foundation of knowledge and practicing time management skills, I aim to make studying more intuitive, more interesting, and less stressful.

Through my experiences, I have honed my teaching style to explain complex ideas in simple terms, which allows me to accommodate students from a wide range of academic strengths. As a tutor, I enjoy learning from my students and continuing to develop my own knowledge and teaching skills as my students master both content and study skills for success now and throughout their studies.

My favorite hobbies are drawing and watching psychological thriller movies.
