When I wasn’t swimming laps in the pool at Saratoga High School, where I was a member of the Swimming and Diving team, you could find me with my nose in a science textbook.

Learning scientific concepts was initially difficult for me, but my curiosity would not allow me to quit. My mind was constantly bombarded with questions like “If chlorophyll makes plants green, what makes roses red?” or “Why does my stomach growl when I’m hungry?” It wasn’t until I started helping some of my friends with their biology homework, that I truly began to understand what I was learning in class. Teaching my fellow classmates opened up a whole new world for me.

The knowledge I gained from helping my friends, and the passion I developed for biology, physiology, and anatomy, fueled my decision to go to medical school in India. I received my bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery, and completed two United States Medical Licensing Exams to convert my degree into an M.D. 

As a tutor, I want to help students embrace their curiosity and fall in love with the learning process. 1-on-1 tutoring gives me the opportunity to understand how each student’s mind works, and help build their knowledge-base and confidence using their strengths.

In my free time, you can find me swimming, powerlifting, or cooking.
