Course Description:

Students need a repertoire of writing skills for all of their classes: science, history, foreign language, and, of course, English. This program for emerging writers helps shape their skills as they learn to write for a variety of courses and teachers. The primary goal is to be able to adapt! One writing technique may work well for English while an entirely different approach may work for science. Students will learn about form, tone, and vocabulary as they shift from one genre to another. They will produce four completed writing pieces by the end of the program and develop a set of skills that will set them up for success for their academic classes.
